Motivated by his passion for music, he would rush home from school, lock himself in his room, and unleash his guitar skills with relentless enthusiasm. He focused on mastering melody lines rather than solos.
In 1973, during a Christmas shopping trip to Northampton, Geordie Walker’s mother spotted a Gibson Les Paul in a store, prompting her to suggest he try it out, reminiscent of a concert she attended featuring Jimi Hendrix.
After strumming just a few chords on the guitar, his mother’s verdict was clear: they would take it. Working two jobs, Walker saved up enough money to purchase another guitar, a Gibson SG Junior.

Subsequently, Geordie Walker relocated to London to study architecture, and it was there that he answered a singer named Jaz Coleman’s advertisement, leading to his involvement as a founding member of Killing Joke in 1979.
Despite having no prior band experience, Walker’s musical journey began with this significant step. Throughout his time with Killing Joke, Geordie Walker and Coleman remained the only consistent members of the group until Walker’s passing.
Walker’s musical pursuits extended beyond Killing Joke, as he also participated in industrial music supergroups such as Murder, Inc. and The Damage Manual.

During the recording of “Hosannas from the Basements of Hell” in 2006, he produced Mary-Jane, a UK girl punk rock act, at Faust Studios in Prague. Later on, he settled in Prague itself and collaborated with Studio Faust Records, lending his expertise to record the music of other artists.
