Jalal Ahmad Arabi Biography

Jalal Ahmad Arabi is a Nigerian Lawyer and former Secretary to the State House. He was appointed the Chairman/CEO of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) by President Tinubu. Jalal Ahmad Arabi was born in Jos, Plateau State.

Educational Background

Jalal Ahmad Arabi attended Islamiyya School and Government Secondary School Gombe where he obtained his First School Leaving (1973) and SSCE (1978) respectively.

He obtained an LLB in law from the University of Jos in 1984.

Career

Jalal Ahmad Arabi started his career at the Ministry of Justice, Bauchi, Bauchi state in 1985.

In May 1993, Jalal Arabi was moved to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) as Legal Adviser to Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

He joined the Ministry of Defence as the Deputy Director (Parastatals/Special Services) in January 2003. He later rose to become the State House Counsel in June, 2007.

In 2015, President Buhari appointed Jalal Arabi as a Permanent secretary. He later became the Secretary in the State House, Aso Rock.

In 2023, President Tinubu appointed Jalal Arabi as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

Personal life

Jalal Ahmad Arabi is married with children. He is a Muslim from Gonbe state.
