Chief Michael Adeniyi Agbolade Ishola Adenuga Jr was born on April 29, 1953, in Ibadan, Southern Region, British Nigeria (now in Oyo State, Nigeria). His father, Oloye Michael Agbolade Adenuga Sr, was a schoolteacher, and his mother, Omoba Juliana Oyindamola Adenuga, was a businesswoman of royal Ijebu descent.
