Educational Background
Tolu had his early education in Lagos, where he also developed his football skills. He trained at Academy and Flying Sports Academy in Festac and later attended the Segun Odegbami International College and Sports Academy. He also played for Box2Box FC in Surulere before trying out with European clubs like SC Freiburg in Germany and Toulouse in France.
Career
Tolu began his professional career in June 2019 with Latvian side Valmiera. A year later, in September 2020, he moved on loan to German Bundesliga club 1. FC Koln, where he made his debut against Arminia Bielefeld. In June 2021, he joined French Ligue 2 team Amiens on a two-year loan. His big break came in January 2023 when he signed permanently with Belgian Pro League side Genk. He made an immediate impact, scoring on his debut against Gent.
