Tyrick Mitchell was born in Brent and raised in Harrow, north-west London. He grew up in a single-parent household with his mother and sisters. His father was largely absent during his childhood, while his mother supported the family through difficult financial circumstances. Mitchell began playing football with local grassroots club Pinner Albion and later had a trial with Watford.
