GPBN meets Enugu state Police command

Today, the Guild of Professional Blogger Nigeria, GPBN, Enugu State chapter visited the spokesperson for Enugu State police command, SP Ebere Amaraizu on a courtesy visit.

The group used the opportunity to introduce the police PRO about the existence of the group in the state and the need for us to work together to ensure accurate reportage of the activities of the force.

In his reaction, SP Amaraizu assured the group of their readiness to partner with New Media operatives as their importance in the modern day information dissemination can never be over emphasized.

Mr. Amarizu who’s also the National Coordinator of Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) used the opportunity to intimate the bloggers about the activities of the force in ensuring we have a crime free society.

He also seized the opportunity to introduce the national programme POCACOV which will be flagged off soon by the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Abubakar Mohammed.

Speaking on working together as partners with the Guild, Mr. Amaraizu assured of his willingness to work with the association as that will contribute in no small way in reducing fake news and assumptions in this era of social media.
