Senator Ugochukwu Uba attended Brilliant primary and secondary school. He holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) and a Masters and Doctorate degree from Queens University, Kingston, Canada.
Career
Senator Ugochukwu Uba started his career as a lecturer at the Universily Of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) where he lectured from 1984 to 1987.
He served as the Secretary-General of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
He left lecturing to start a private consulting firm in 1987. Ugochukwu Uba was a Commissioner in Anambra State and a Director General in one of the government parastatals in Anambra State.
Senator Ugochukwu Uba joined politics and register with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State.

In 2003, Senator Ugochukwu Uba was elected the senator representing Anambra South in the National Assembly under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In 2021, Ugochukwu Uba picked a nomination form to run for Anambra State Governor under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He emerged the factional candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a primary election conducted at the St. Paul University primary school Awka in June 2021.
