Educational Background
Grace Bent obtained her SSCE certificate in 1978 from Ilesa Grammar School.

Grace Bent holds a degree in English and Literary studies from the University of Calabar. She obtained her Masters degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Calabar.
Grace Bent holds a doctorate degree in public administration from the Indiana State University, United States.
Career
Grace Bent started her career at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). She was the Assistant Producer, NTA Kaduna.
She was the political adviser to Audu Ogbeh, the former National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the managing director of Jack Ventures Nigeria.
Grace Bent is also an author. The authored and published the book Women in Inter Ethnic Marriages in Nigeria.
In 2007, Grace Bent was elected to represent Adamawa South under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). While in the senate , she served as the chairperson of the Nigerian Senate Committee on Environment.
In 2011, Bent picked nomination form to run for a second term in office under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but however lost in the party primaries to Ahmed Hassan Barata.
Grace Bent defected from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2021.

Grace Bent is of Yoruba origin but married to her husband Jackson Bent from Adamawa state. She is a christian.
