Educational Background
Ahmed Joda started his educational career at Yola Elementary School and later to Yola Middle School. In 1945, he moved to Barewa College.
Between 1954 and 1956, Ahmed Joda attended Pitmans College, London.

Career
Ahmed Joda started his career at Moor Plantations, Ibadan before moving to Yola to become an agricultural officer.
Ahmed Joda joined Gaskiya Corporation, Zaria as a Journalist.
Between 1956 and 1960, Ahmed Joda was a correspondent for the Nigerian Broadcasting Service (NBS).
He was the Chief Information Officer of the Northern Regional Government from 1960 to 1962 and the Permanent Secretary from 1962 to 1967.
In 1967, he joined the Federal Civil Service as a permanent secretary. He served in ministries of Information, Education and Industries. He retired in 1978.

Ahmed Joda was the chairman and board member of several companies including

In 2002, Ahmed Joda was conferred with the national title of Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR).
Ahmed Joda was a member of the Presidential Advisory Committee in poverty alleviation in 1999 and the head of president Buhari’s transmission committee in 2015.

Ahmed Joda is a Muslim from Adamawa state, Nigeria. His great-great grand father was Modibbo Raji.

On August 13 2021, Ahmed Joda died at the age of 91 in Yola, Adamawa state.
