Career
Ahmed Kuru started his career as a Budget Analyst with the Federal Ministry of Finance in 1984.
Ahmed Kuru has over 30 years experience in the banking sector. He started his career in the banking sector in 1985 with Habib Bank which later became Keystone Bank.

In 2011, he was appointed the Group Managing Director of Enterprise Bank Limited.

In August 2015, following the dissolution of AMCON board, President Buhari appointed Ahmed Kuru to replace Mr. Mustafa Chike-Obi as the CEO and Managing Director of AMCON.
In December 2020, Ahmed Kuru was reappointed for a second term in office.
