Career and Musics

Lorde started her career as a musician at a very young age. At the age of 12, she signed a record contract with Universal Music Group after an agent received footage of her singing at a middle-school talent show.

In 2012, she released her debut EP ‘The Love Club‘ which was produced alongside her mother who is a poet. The Love Club was a five-track EP released for free to the Internet-streaming service SoundCloud.

Royals, the lead single of the EP rocketed to up the charts in New Zealand.

At the age of 17, Lorde became the first female New Zealand teenager to top the US BillBoard Chart.

In September 2013, Lorde released her debut album Pure Heroine.

Lorde embarked on a sold out North American tour in March 2014 and in April 2014 she performed alongside the surviving members of Nirvana onstage at the ceremony celebrating that band’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
