Reno Omokri is a Nigerian Author and Social media influencer. Reno Omokri was the host of “Transformation with Reno Omokri”, a Christian teaching TV show broadcast on San Francisco’s KTLN-TV and Detroit’s Impact Network Reno Omokri is also a political enthusiast and social media influencer.

He has acted as a special adviser to the former Nigerian president Goodluck Jonathan. Reno Omokri was born on 22 January 1974 to his parents: Mrs. Helen Bemigho and M.r Justice Jean Omokri(father). Educational Background

Reno Omokri had his primary and secondary school in Nigeria before moving to the UK to further his studies. Reno Omokri studied law and, in the year 2000, was called to the Nigerian bar. He then proceeded to the University of Wolverhampton to get a master’s degree in law in 2004.

Reno Omokri is a Nigerian author, political enthusiast, and social media influencer. Reno Omokri entered politics after he became the spokesperson for the former Nigeria president, Goodluck Jonathan.

He is the only one of those three spokesmen who remained loyal to former President Jonathan after he departed from office. 

He acted as a special adviser to the former Nigerian president Goodluck Jonathan and Between 2015 and 2016 hosted a Christian teaching Tv show, “Transformation with Reno Omokri”, The 30-minute weekly telecast was produced by the Mind of Christ Christian Center in California.

Omokri is a Vice President of Joe Trippi and Associates, a U.S. political consulting firm. As the Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan, he was noted for using social media to conduct surveys and draw attention to the projects of the Nigerian Government.

Reno Omokri was a signatory of a letter by a group known as G 57 that called for the resignation of Yar’adua. Since 29 May 2015, Omokri has continued to oppose the policies of the current Nigerian government and has had conflicts with the Nigerian authorities. He was also about to get arrested on August 17, 2017, at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja but they failed. .

Reno Omokri is the founder of a multimedia project, Build Up Nigeria, and has produced a series of short films in the U.S. Through his social media, he created massive awareness about political projects and drew much attention from the average masses towards politics.

Since then, Omokri has been known to air his views on political issues, especially in Nigeria, and has many times conflicted with the policies of the government, especially after the inauguration of president Mohammadu Buhari.

He has also increased the political consciousness amongst Nigerian youths through his tweets aimed at the Nigerian Government and policies. Reno Omokri is a columnist with “This Day”.

Reno Omokri is the founder of the mind of Christ Christian Center and the Helen and Bemigho Sanctuary for Orphans.  He was a panelist at the United States Institute of Peace as well as the Atlantic Council. 

Reno Omokri has also represented the Nigerian government at Chatham House in London. In April 2022, Omokri received the Business Influencer of the Year award in the Business Insider Africa awards from Business Insider, an American financial and business news website, after securing 74.67% of over 200,000 votes.

Controversies

Reno Omokri Controversies

Natasha H Akpoti, A Kogi state female gubernatorial candidate, accused Reno Omokri of making sexual advances towards her during the state banquet for Uhuru Kenyatta, the Kenyan President, that took place on 6th May 2014.

This she said on the 12 of October 2021, Reno Omokri, in response to this allegation, promised a $50,000 price for anybody that would provide evidence in a picture or a video clip that he even attended the banquet.

Reno went further to prove that he was not in the country during the period of the banquet. Shortly after, all traces of the accusation were deleted from Akpoti’s social media platforms.

Reno Omokri has always been a controversial man but he was the talk of the town when his alleged Ethiopian baby mama Hanna gave birth to him after all his Sainty claims.
