Resident doctors go on indefinite strike

The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) have commenced an indefinite strike despite meeting with federal government delegates.

Announcing the commencement of the strike the national president of NARD, Mr Uyilawa Okhuaihesuyi, told newsmen that resident doctors commenced indefinite strike by 8am on Thursday.

He said the government have failed to meet with the demands of resident doctors which included payment of allowance.

Resident doctors are demanding the payment of salary arrears, review of hazard allowance, payment of outstanding COVID-19 especially in state owned teaching hospitals.
