Cosmas Maduka had his primary education in his but dropped out of school after the death of his father. He holds an honorary Doctor of Business Administration (PhD) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Career and Business
Cosmas Maduka started his career as a businessman at the age of 6. He sold akara to assist his mother after the death of his father.
At the age of 17, Cosmas Maduka enrolled as a motor spare parts apprentice under his uncle. However, he was wrongfully dismissed with just N200 by his uncle.

Cosmas Maduka started his first automobile company CoDave with his friend Dave. However, the business failed.
In 1977, Cosmas Maduka started Coscharis with his wife Charity. The business focused on sales of automobile spare parts.
Cosmas Maduka had a breakthrough in his business after the Nigerian government granted ten (10) motor companies import license, which Coscharis was selected in 1982.
Today Cosmas Maduka business springs across Automobile, real estate, beverages, petrochemical, agriculture and many others.

He is the sole distributor of BMW and owns an assembly plant for Ford. 
In 2012, Cosmas was awarded the Commander Order of the Niger (CON) by President Jonathan. He was the President/Chairman of the Nigerian Table Tennis Federation for 16 years
In 2015, Cosmas Maduka featured on Forbes magazine for his successful business ventures and for turning $1 to $500 million.
In 2016, the Anambra State approved 5000 hectare of land for Coscharis Farms to cultivate rice.
