Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji is a Nigerian politician, lecturer and businessman. He was a Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Ekiti State. Biodun Oyebanji was born on December 21, 1967, in lkogosi-Ekiti.
Educational Background
Biodun Oyebanji attended Baptist primary school, Ikogosi-Ekiti before proceeding to Awo Community High school and later to C.A.C Grammar school, Efon-Alaaye, Ekiti State.
He attended Federal school of Art and Science, Ondo State, and the District Commercial Secondary School, Aramoko-Ekiti

Biodun Oyebanji obtained a degree in Political science from Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti in 1989 and a Masters Degree in Political science from University of Ibadan, Oyo State in 1992 where he specialized in International Relations and Strategic Studies
Career
Biodun Oyebanji started his career as a lecturer with Department of Political Science, University of Ado Ekiti. He lectured from 1993 to 1997.
In 1997, he left the University to work as a Manager, Treasury, and Financial Service at the defunct Omega Bank Plc.

In 1999, he left the banking sector to venture into agribusiness. He is the chairman of Con Dois Farms LTD.
Biodun Oyebanji was appointed the Special Assistant (Parliament Affairs) to the Governor of Ekiti State in 1999 and later the Special Adviser (Parliament Affairs) to the Governor of Ekiti State.
In 2001, Biodun Oyebanji was appointed the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Ekiti State. He held the position till 2003.
Between June 2009 and December 2010 he was appointed Chairman, Governing Board, Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre, Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.
Biodun Oyebanji has held several positions within the Ekiti state government including
- Commissioner, Ministry of Integration and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Ekiti State (December 2010-December 2011)
- Head, Office of Transformation Strategy and Delivery (OTSD), Ekiti State ( December 2011-9th January 2013)
- Commissioner, Ministry of Budget, Economic Planning and Service Delivery, Ekiti State (10th January 2013-16th October 2014)
Biodun Oyebanji was a Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Ekiti state from 16th October 2018-2021.

On 7th December 2021, Biodun Oyebanji resigned as SSG to declare his intention to run for the Ekiti state governor. He emerged the party bearer of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in January 2022.

Biodun Oyebanji is married to Prof. (Mrs) Oyebanji with children. She is an associate professor at the University of Ibadan. He is of Yoruba origin from lkogosi in Ekiti state.
