Educational Background
Baba Suwe attended Jamaitul Islamial Primary School in Lagos and Children Boarding School, Osogbo. He obtained his West African School Certificate from Ifeoluwa Grammar School in Osogbo, Osun State.

In 2011, Baba Suwe was arrested by the Nigerian Drug and Law Enforcements Agencies (NDLEA) for alleged drug trafficking.
Baba Suwe was accused of trafficking cocaine by the NDLEA. However, the Lagos High Court described the BBC allegation as false and defamatory.

Baba Suwe was married to Omoladun Omidina with children. She died in 2009. He is from Ikorodu, Lagos state.
