Yinka Odumakin is a Nigerian activist and politician. He was the national secretary of Afenifere, a Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group. Yinka Odumakin was born on 10 December 1966 in Moro, Ife North, Osun State, Nigeria.

Yinka Odumakin Education and Career

Yinka Odumakin started his basic education at St Augustine Primary School, Ondo State. He proceeded to CAC Grammar School, Edunabon, Osun State and Oduduwa College, Ile-Ife, Osun State where he obtained his SSCE certificate.

In 1989, Yinka Odumakin obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Studies from the Obafemi Awolowo University. He is also a graduate of the University of Ghana.

Yinka Odumakin was a member of the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO), a democratic coalition that fought against the General Sani Abacha regime between 1993 and 1998.

Yinka Odumakin died of complications from Covid-19 on 3rd April, 2021 at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Lagos. He was 54 years.
