Yinka Odumakin is a Nigerian activist and politician. He was the national secretary of Afenifere, a Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group. Yinka Odumakin was born on 10 December 1966 in Moro, Ife North, Osun State, Nigeria.

Yinka Odumakin started his basic education at St Augustine Primary School, Ondo State. He proceeded to CAC Grammar School, Edunabon, Osun State and Oduduwa College, Ile-Ife, Osun State where he obtained his SSCE certificate.
In 1989, Yinka Odumakin obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Studies from the Obafemi Awolowo University. He is also a graduate of the University of Ghana.
Career and Business
Yinka Odumakin was a member of the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO), a democratic coalition that fought against the General Sani Abacha regime between 1993 and 1998.
He has worked as a spokesperson for different organizations and individuals including the Southern and Middle Belt Leader’s Forum (SMBLF), President Buhari Campaign Organisation in 2011 and many others.
In 2011, Odumakin and his wife were the only couple amongst the the 492-member 2014 National Conference which was held in Abuja, Nigeria.
He was a popular critic of President Buhari and the national secretary of Afenifere.
