Educational Background
Chidinma has her primary and secondary education in Ketu where she was raised. She proceeded to University of Lagos where she obtained a degree in Sociology.
Career and Musics
Chidinma started singing at the age of 6 and eventually joined the church choir at the age of 10.
After graduation from school, Chidinma worked as a marketer and promoter in Lagos before auditioning for the third season of Project Fame West Africa. She joined 17 other contestants in the fame academy round where they were coached by musical professionals: voice coaches, inspirational speakers, established musicians, and music business service providers.
In September 2010, Chidinma was announced the winner of the competition. She was gifted a cash price of ₦2.5 million, a 2011 Toyota RAV4, and a production deal.
In February 2011, she released two singles Jankoliko and Carry you go. The songs featured award winning Nigerian musician Sound Sultan. She released the music video for Jankoliko in June 2011. The video was shot by Clearance Peters.
In October 2011, Chidinma released Kedike. Kedike was produced by Cobhams Asuquo and the music video directed by Clearance Peters.
After she released her single Emi Ni Baller in 2012, she became the first female musician to peak at number 1 on the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 chart. Emi Ni Baller featured Ill Bliss and Tha Suspect
Chidinma released her debut album ‘Chidinma’ in 2012. The album featured Nigerian musicians like Sound Sultan, Olamide, Muna and many others
She released the remix for Emi Ni Baller in February 2013. The remix featured Wizkid and was produced by Legendary Beatz.
Chidinma released Oh Baby single and the remix in 2013. The remix featured Nigerian musician Favour and the songs were produced by Young D.

Chidinma is also an actress. She made her debut in the movie industry in 2017. She featured in the movie “The Bridge” by Kunle Afolayan.
In May, 2021, Chidinma announced that she is quitting circular music to become a gospel singer.
